I spent a lot of time naming and re-naming my blog. And to be honest, I’m still not 100% satisfied with it. I can’t seem to figure out a style and a name that feels like ‘home’. But until I do land on something, I was inspired to name my blog by this video.
I just loved the way Gorgeous and Affecting sounded. It conjured up some beautiful and light images in my mind. So… I went with it.

I named my blog after a video too! Mine is called Beyond China’s Single Story, after a TED Talk called The Danger of a Single Story. Today I actually spent too much time attempting to rename it, since I left China and I will soon move to Chile, but I guess “Beyond” can pretty much encompass anything. And just about anything is more interesting than my name, right?
